Artist Statement
In Yoruba culture, a child's name is a symbol of their history or destiny.
Ololade, pronounced “Aww-law-la-day,” means “the wealthy one has arrived.”
 
She comes into her own, armed with a wealth of self-awareness and strength. Clothed in dignity, she moves through life fearlessly, embracing both her mental and physical well-being.
 
Her presence exudes confidence, grounded in her understanding of wellness and self-worth.
She is fearless.
She is empowered.
She is Ololade!
